fReAky dAy First "100" Call (911 equivalent in INDIA)

Today when on the way to office at 3:00 PM - i get chased by two in a Royal Enfield ! 350 CC Beast ! (I was in a 150 CC kid - Sure - even the hardest try couldn't have succeeded in keeping myself away from them) They stop me.. in the SIPCOT road - Just near the Arch - No police - No one to help - Fully deserted ! They say - "nillu da - Enna un paattukku periyavara tallittu vandhuttea.. andha aalla hospital kutittu poganum.. " they claim i hit him near satyabama.. and that i come with them back to the place of accident.. One of them tries to pick the keys out of the bike and other tries to snatch my ID - i manage to save them both ! I say - I never even crossed Sathyabama.. because i was coming from my room(which was so true !).. and there were a lot of other talks.. He started to behave rude.. The alarm rings and I get to ACTION !! : I dialed "100" !! (India Emergency Help Line - Equivalent to "911" for the US) : The IVRS asked me to press "1" to continue.. after a brief wait.. a lady picks up and asks me who i am, where i was and what was the emergency about... i explain them my plight... they say the jurisdiction belongs to Kanchepuram district.. and that I have to call another number ! (W!F). I go mad at the help line while trying to bark at these people about "IT WAS NOT ME" thing ! Then the person over the help line over hearing what i was talking, says that those should be the guys who are really drunk and that i just take my bike and leave ! They were so not ready to leave me.. they demanded address ... i tell them do what you want.. i work for TCS (because they saw my ID - so not a self disclosure - Remember one of them even tried to snatch it - Sure never ever will I wear ID again during drive) and that I stay in Navalur (Well yeah.. i dont stay in Navalur.. but i pass that place everyday - god save me) ! Then goes the filmy dialogue session : "enna thaan irunndaalum nee inga thane da irruke paathukurean" ! "police kitta inda bike thaan idichadunu solurean ! avanga kitta peasiko.. whose ever bike it is ask them to be prepared as well ! Then suddenly - one of the two says that they go and hand over the bike number to the cops so that the cops could do the rest ! Damn... LESSONS LEARNT : "NEVER COME TO OFFICE ON HOLIDAYS - AT LEAST NEVER EVER IN A BIKE WITH TCS ID HANGING LOUD AND BRIGHT" PS : 100 % Genuine : AGMARK : Real Experience : Drafted FRESH within 30 mins of this nightmarish happening !
